Foundation of Entrepreneurship Lesson Nine:Entrepreneurial Financing

ntroduction

For most entrepreneurs, capital is a relatively scarce resource. How to attract capital and how to manage financing risks are two problems entrepreneurs frequently face. Entrepreneurs often lack significant experience in capital markets, which can result in serious information asymmetries and put them in a relative position of weakness when negotiating with angel investors and VC/PE. These entrepreneurs must ask: Who are the appropriate angel investors with whom I should work, and how can I approach them? How should I handle the financing negotiations? What are the technical and legal problems to focus on during the financing process?

In the next lecture, we will invite Mr. Joe Wang, an angel investor and well-known expert in talent development and innovation. He will unlock the secret of entrepreneurial financing and probe relevant technical details and legal issues from the view of both the entrepreneurs and the investors.
