42nd International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva, PKU teams gained two Gold and two Silver.

The 42nd International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva was held from April 2nd 2013-April 6th 2013 in Switzerland.There were 790 exhibitors from 45 countries and more than 1,000 new inventions were exhibited.

The School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Peking University recommended four teams for the exhibition. In the end, they gained two gold and two silver prizes. The two gold prize inventions were awarded to "micro-friction electric generator" from Professor Zhang Haixia, Information Science and Technology College (exhibitors: Meng Bo, Han Mengdi, Zhu Fuyun), and "new wells inclinometer special all-fiber sensor" from Professor Wang Ziyu (exhibitors: Wang Xinyue, Wang Ziyu, Wang Qin). The two silver prize inventions were awarded to “mobile digital health warning system” from Professor Huang Anpeng, Information Science and Technology College and “Intelligent Assistive Monitoring System” from Professor Liu Hong, Shenzhen Graduate School of Information Engineering College. 
 
The International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva was set up in 1972. It is one of the largest and oldest invention exhibitions in the world, which focuses on the practical results of the invention. There have been thousands of inventions, related to environmental protection, energy, transportation, security and so on.
