On May 28th, 2013, The Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China and Beijing Municipal Government co-hosted the 2nd China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS)“The success of CIFTIS (China International Fair for Trade in Services) is conducive to structural adjustment of not only Beijing, but also to its adjacent areas and other cities in China”, according to Mr. Chen Deming in an interview with cppcc.china.com.cn on March 8th. He is a member of Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, President of Association for Relations across the Taiwan Straits, and former Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China.
Institutes form 13 countries including UK, Spain, Uruguay, Singapore, Italy and Japan, have confirmed to participate in the second China (Beijing) Fair of Trade in Services (CIFTIS). The second CIFTIS will be held from May 28 to June 1 in Beijing. The theme of the CIFTIS is “Trade in Services: the New Engine for Value Enhancement”.
During the 2nd CIFTIS, totally 415 projects have been signed, the amount of which reaches USD 78.69 billion, increasing 30.9% over the first CIFTIS. There are 114 international projects, the signing amount of which is USD 10.89 billion.
Representatives from the Peking University Office of Science and Technology Development attended the affair, and exchanged potential collaboration models with businesses from all over the world.
