Foundation of Entrepreneurship Lesson One:The Coming of the Knowledge Economy and Entrepreneurship

Innovation is the driving force of economic development. In the 21st century, the era of knowledge economy, scientific and technological innovation has gradually become the main impetus of economic development. Developed countries like the US and the EU have been greatly benefited from this trend. China is now entering the rank of innovation-oriented countries and has promulgated a variety of incentives and subsidiary policies. How to seize the chance and successfully start up by utilizing the development of knowledge economy?
 
Prof. Dongmin Chen, director of the Office of Science and Technology Development, Peking University will lead us to explore the innovative and entrepreneurial era of knowledge economy.

Prof. Chen was the head of the Quantum Device Physics Lab of the Harvard University for 15 years. He founded the Suzhou Institute of Technology, which provides seed funding and value added service to entrepreneurs from Academy as well as Silicon Valley. As an entrepreneur he founded the Miradia Inc. in the Silicon Valley.
