International Technology Transfer and Cooperation Forum is Successfully Held

On December 11th 2012, in Zhongguancunxinyuan No1 Building in Peking University, the Beijing Technology Market Management Office and the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship organized the International Technology Transfer and Cooperation Forum. HR Deputy Director of Beijing Science and Technology Chen Baolong, Director of Beijing Technology Market Management Office Liu Jun delivered speeches. Director of Stanford University Technology Transfer in China Office David Ai, Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Peking University Dongmin Chen delivered reports. Hundreds of people attended the Forum; the audience was made up ofPeking University students and scholars, Beijing technology transfer agencies and industries, and organizations representatives.
 
The Director of the Beijing Technology Market Management Office, Liu Jun explained the significance of the purpose of the forum, approaching his ideas from three perspectives: national strategic plan, capital resources and industrial technology needs. HR Deputy Director of Beijing Science and Technology Chen Baolong pointed out his opinions in his speech; that international technology transfer training and the development talents needs of Beijing could match each other, and fully affirmed that technology transfer training plays an important role in the international technology transfer performance. 
 
The Director of Stanford University Technology Transfer in China Office David Ai delivered his report; “Stanford University Technology Cooperation, Technology Licensing Experience". He shared the case of Google which is a successful Technology Licensing case. 
 
The Dean of School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Peking University Dongmin Chen delivered report on “Transnational Technology Transfer Incubation Opportunities, the Challenge and Innovation”. Professor Chen pointed out that, to achieve the goal of being an innovative country in 2020, there were two ways to achieve this in general: the first way is to introduce and absorb or even re-innovate international science and technology; the second way was to conduct original innovation, to achieve leapfrog development.
 
Finally, guests and participants participated in a discussion about international technology transfer involving legal and credit issues.
